Role Description:
The SMT Operator & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for opera ng and monitoring SMT machines to ensure smooth production, maintain quality standards, achieve daily production targets and Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of SMT machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate SMT production line machines such as Solder Paste Printer (DEK), Pick & Place Machine (FUJI/Panasonic), SPI, AOI, and Reflow Oven.
- Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and basic operational checks.
- Load PCB magazines, feeders, reels, and electronic components as per production requirements.
- Verify component part numbers, feeder locations, and PCB models before production.
- Monitor machine performance and report any alarms or abnormalities to the Process Engineer or Supervisor.
- Perform feeder replacement and component replenishment during production.
- Follow production plans and achieve daily output targets.
- Ensure proper handling of solder paste and electronic components.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and the work area following 5S standards.
- Record production data, machine downtime, and rejection details.
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, and all safety guidelines.
- Maintain machine calibration and process accuracy.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records, breakdown history, and spare parts inventory.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase machine reliability and reduce recurring failures.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes.
- Ability to operate production machines safely.
- Understanding of electronic components and PCB handling.
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance of SMT Machines.
- Hands-on experience of opera on and maintenance of SMT machines – FUJI NXT II, PANASONIC NPM D3, PANASONIC AM 100
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in shifts.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- Experience in the electronic surveillance or related industry is a plus
