Role Description:

The SMT Preventive Maintenance Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring preventive and predictive maintenance ac vi es for SMT production equipment to ensure maximum machine availability, reliability, and production efficiency while minimizing breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and perform preventive maintenance (PM) of SMT machines as per the maintenance schedule. Carry out preventive maintenance of:

• Solder Paste Printer
• Pick & Place Machines
• SPI Machine
• AOI Machine
• Reflow Oven
• PCB Conveyor Systems

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and so ware-related machine issues.

Minimize machine downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns and restoring equipment to normal opera on.

Inspect, clean, lubricate, calibrate, and replace worn-out machine parts.

Maintain machine calibration and process accuracy. Coordinate with Production and Process Engineering teams to schedule maintenance ac vi es without affecting production.

Maintain preventive maintenance records, breakdown history, and spare parts inventory.

Recommend and implement improvements to increase machine reliability and reduce recurring failures.

Ensure availability of critical spare parts and consumables. Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new SMT equipment.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of SMT equipment maintenance.

Hands-on experience with SMT machines such as Fuji, Panasonic.

Understanding of pneuma c, electrical, servo, and motion control systems.

Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, and Lean Manufacturing.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Good documentation and reporting skills.

Qualifications:

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field

Experience: 2–5 Years (Electronics Manufacturing)
